Find and look back

1. Find the conversation

The newest is on top. You can also look by type: Wingman, Practice, Translation. Interviews are under Wingman.

Search only looks at titles and recaps. Remember something that was said, but not when? Ask CueBee (step 7): it reads the full transcripts.

2. File it, and give it a name you’ll recognise

Click ⋯ beside a conversation → Move to, or drag it onto a folder on the left. To rename, click ⋯ → Rename, or press F2.Touch and hold a conversation → Move to folder or Rename. To move several at once, tap Edit and select them.Open a conversation’s menu → Move to folder or Rename. To move several at once, choose Select sessions.

CueBee writes the titles. Changed one and want CueBee’s back? Choose Use CueBee’s title. Deleting a folder keeps the conversations in it.

3. Open a conversation

Session RecapSession RecapSummary: CueBee’s few lines about it. Open it to read.Transcript: who said what, with the cues CueBee gave you at the time. You asked CueBee: the questions you asked along the way and the answers. Jump between them with the questions control (“2 questions”).

Who’s Speaker 2? Click the label and give them a name.

4. Tap a line to hear it

Click any line and the recording plays from there, at 1× to 2×. Your microphone and the meeting are recorded separately: switch between them under Recording.Tap a line to hear just that line, and it stops when it ends. To hear it all, tap Play all, at 1× to 2×.The web app can’t play recordings yet; the text and recap are all there. To listen, open the conversation in the desktop app.

It only plays what this phone recorded. Conversations recorded on another device show as text only.

5. Not finished? Pick it up again

A Wingman conversation’s page has Resume at the bottom: carry on with the same background, the rest joins the same conversation, and the recap is rewritten. It uses Wingman hours.Picking up again is only on iPhone and Android for now: open the conversation on your phone and tap Resume at the bottom. The rest joins the same conversation.

Translations can’t be resumed.

6. New · iPhoneReview: what you could say better

Open a conversation and tap Review this conversation under the recap. In about 20 seconds, CueBee goes through it point by point: how a line could go, more natural ways to say it, and what went well.

Reviews are only on iPhone for now. Conversations and interviews recorded on your computer can be reviewed too: open them on your iPhone.
Three people talking in a café
Uses no Wingman hours. There’s a daily limit on reviews.
Wingman conversations, practice and interviews can be reviewed; translations can’t. You need to have said enough yourself.
A conversation recorded on the phone in Solo can’t tell who spoke, so it can’t be reviewed. To review, switch to Group before you start.

To change the focus: Settings → Review focus, or in a review, ⋯ → Change review focus.

7. Ask CueBee: it has read all your conversations

“What did I promise to do this week?” “When did we last talk budget?” CueBee looks through your conversations, cites its sources, and one tap takes you to the original words.

Ask CueBee at the top of History, or press Mac: Command JWindows: Ctrl J. Ask inside a folder and only that folder is searched.Type your question in the search field at the top of Sessions, then tap Ask CueBee. To ask about one conversation only, open it and tap ✨ at the top right.Ask CueBee at the top of History. Ask from inside a conversation and only that one is searched.

Only you see it. Questions have hourly and daily limits, and your plan sets how many you get each month.

Take it with you, clean up

8. Export as text

Click a conversation’s ⋯ → Export…; for several at once, choose Select sessions, then Export, and they come as one .zip.Touch and hold a conversation → Export, or open it and tap Export. For several at once, tap Edit and select them: they come as one .zip.Open a conversation and choose Export. For several at once, choose Select sessions: they come as one .zip.

CueBee cues and answers is off by default, so a transcript you send someone doesn’t carry CueBee’s coaching.

Recordings and reviews aren’t exported. Web exports have no timestamps.

9. Delete

Click a conversation’s ⋯ → Delete…Touch and hold a conversation → Delete, then confirm (or tap Edit to select several).Open a conversation and choose Delete. Its text, recap and review are deleted from your account, on every device. Once deleted, it’s gone for good.

Files you already exported aren’t touched. Your Ask CueBee chats stay, and anything they cited from it shows “This conversation was deleted”.

Still have questions?

Search can’t find a line I know was said?

Search only looks at titles and recaps. To find the original words, ask CueBee, for example “When did we last talk about the budget?”.

Where are my interviews?

Under Wingman. The answers you got at the time are in the conversation too.

Review says I didn’t say enough?

A review looks at what you said yourself, so with too little there’s nothing to review. Or the conversation was recorded on the phone in Solo, which can’t tell which lines are yours.

Out of Ask CueBee questions?

The hourly and daily limits reset after a while. The monthly count comes with your plan, and Ask CueBee in translation counts towards it too. See the pricing page.
